BEng student at Zhejiang University

I am Ava Pan, an undergraduate student at Zhejiang University, expected to graduate in June 2027. My current research lies broadly in multimodal AI, with interests spanning medical image analysis, speech behavior modeling, AI safety for T2I models, and GTransformer in power systems.

My goal is to develop AI systems that are not only performant, but also interpretable, robust, and useful in real-world settings.

  • Constructed a paired mIF and H&E pathology imaging database across mouse models and human patients.
  • Trained a U-Net-based pipeline for cell segmentation and protein-category recognition.

Conversational Behavior Modeling in Full-Duplex Speech

  • Lead a project on conversational behavior reasoning for full-duplex speech.
  • Built a scalable data pipeline with 28,000 two-speaker clips and 37,100 per-second rationale annotations.
  • Designed a hierarchical behavior detection and Graph-of-Thought reasoning system for interpretable real-time interaction.

Text-Agnostic Safety Editing for Text-to-Image Generative Models

  • Proposed SafeGen++, a text-agnostic safety editing method for diffusion models.
  • Replaced dense attention updates with parameter-efficient LoRA safety patches.
  • Extended single-category mitigation to multi-category safety.

  • I love classical music, especially symphonic music. I have been playing the trumpet for 10 years and have been in an orchestra since I was 12. But I hope to play jazz in the future, lol.
